Network Ten is pleased to announce the ultimate culinary challenge is poised to begin, with MasterChef All-Stars hitting screens through July and August in a special television event.

Bringing together the best-of-the-best contestants from the first three seasons, this superstar serving of MasterChef launches after the season four finale and catapults into a three-week challenge that will delight, entice and answer the long-running question: which MasterChef delivered the best home cook this country has to offer?

Viewers are the ultimate winners with the accelerated Season four of MasterChef heating up to an explosive finale over the coming weeks. Super-chef week leads the charge with Rick Stein serving up the mystery box tonight, and iconic chef Jamie Oliver cooking off against three lucky contestants on Tuesday. There’s still a thrilling week of challenges in Italy to come, not to mention the legendary Heston Blumenthal, and the huge challenge of catering a Sri-Lankan wedding in store, all before MasterChef All-Stars takes over.

MasterChef All-Stars is set to sizzle with a host of favourites from the past three seasons ready to compete including Julie Goodwin [winner], Poh-Ling Yeow [runner up], Chris Badenoch and Justine Schofield from Season One, Callum Hann [runner up], Marion Grasby and Aaron Harvie from Season two and Kate Bracks [winner], Dani Venn, Hayden Quinn and Kumar Pereira from Season Three.

Network Ten Chief Programming Officer, David Mott, said: “The Olympic period is perhaps the most competitive time in television this year and we have no plans to take a back seat.

“MasterChef All-Stars is a fantastic example of ‘event TV’. It is set to be fun, compelling and an excellent alternative for viewers. The MasterChef alumni continue to hold a special interest and affection with our audience and seeing them take on a new challenge will be an absolute joy to watch.”

Celebrating the many influential MasterChef moments which reignited Australia’s passion for food, our All-Stars revisit some of the best challenges from previous seasons and the contestants’ goal is to raise money for their favourite charity, and win the title of the first MasterChef All-Star.

MasterChef All-Stars is produced by Shine Australia for Network Ten.
